Past Congressional Briefings

The National Health Collaborative on Violence and Abuse (NHCVA) has a longstanding history of convening bipartisan educational briefings for Members of Congress and congressional staff to elevate the health impacts of violence and abuse and identify practical, evidence-based policy solutions. These briefings have engaged bipartisan congressional champions and national experts on topics ranging from childhood trauma and maternal health to elder abuse, opioid use, suicide prevention, and intimate partner violence, reinforcing the role of health systems in prevention, identification, and intervention.
